Vivix: Pyramid Scheme or Anti Aging Revolution?

Vivix, the newest product from Shaklee, arrives at time when our economy is so shaky and uncertain that record numbers of people are pursuing the benefits of a home based business. And as we peruse the Internet, which offers legitimate opportunities and fly by night scams in equal turns, it is hard to tell with an untrained eye who’s marketing dreams and who’s selling failure. So how to tell if Vivix is simply another pyramid scheme designed to make others rich or perhaps if this time, you could be the one cashing in? Well there are a few criteria to take into consideration before deciding.

Pyramids schemes, which are completely illegal in most countries today, operate under the premise that every person enrolled pays an enrollment fee that goes to the person sitting at the top of the pyramid. Not to unlike the majority of corporate business’ today, the person at the top does very little work past encouraging the people beneath them to enroll more people. The difference is in a true pyramid scheme there is generally no product moved or sold. Corporations as we know, do have product but operate under the same structure and that perhaps is the most important piece of information. If you went to work for Microsoft, or General Mills tomorrow, working at the company for 20 years would get you no closer to becoming the CEO than it would in the classic pyramid scheme.

Vivix is produced by Shaklee products, a company that works on the reverse pyramid. While most corporations have room for one CEO at the top of their food chain, Shaklee like many functional MLM companies encourages all of their members to pursue leadership to its highest ranking in the organization. It is this factor that has enabled to grow as a company by creating natural healthy products like Vivix for the last 50 or so years.

This growth is promoted in several fashions. The first method involves each member of the company to make a purchase of the products themselves. While this may sound as though we’re headed back into scam territory, this serves a two fold purpose. One it ensures the continued sales growth of the company, which is a bonus not only to existing members but to new enrolling members as well. We hear of the failure rates of many companies now, due to a lack of investor confidence and consumer funds. So to find a company in which the sales are exponentially pushing upwards is certainly comforting. The second purpose of personal use of these products by all members of the company, is the creation of walking advertisements. We have all heard the As Seen on TV testimonials from people who may or may not be real and may or may not be paid to make them, but what if the testimonial came from the person right across from you as they explained the product. If you could see the proof in their clear complexions and lack of health issues, as a result of the use of a product like Vivix.

Which brings us to the third and final point of distinction for Vivix as a product. It is commonly referenced as an anti cellular aging product, a term that may sound a little too close to As Seen on TV gimmicks for comfort. However the science behind the product is based on years of research by scientists at universities like MIT. So rest assured it is not a term bandied lightly by a clever marketing department trying to boost sales. Conceptually it incorporates ideas that have been in use for thousands of years in Europe, and it focuses on natural ingredients from grape skins and seeds that for the most part have only been readily available in the form of red wine. So while at first Vivix may appear to just be the latest product promising eternal youth, it is in fact using the same principles some of the oldest living people on earth have relied upon daily to promote their own health.

Everyday millions of men and women around the world attempt to reverse the signs of aging through cremes, injections and surgeries, sometimes with disastrous results. It is a billion dollar industry that functions almost wholly on people’s belief that while it is impossible to live forever, they can at least appear to. Vivix is the product that actually creates the possibility of staving off the aging process by promoting healthy cellular function. Which makes it a fantastic investment opportunity for anyone who understands how wide ranging the market on anti aging products truly is.
