Minthis Hills Golf Club:
Minthis Hills Golf Club was founded in 1994 and is set amongst the orchards and vineyards of a 12th century monastery, nestled in a gentle valley on the outskirts of Pafos and at an altitude of 550 metres above sea level, ensuring cool breezes during summer months.
The golf course has recently been fully refurbished with a major overhaul of the greens designed by British golf course architects Mackenzie and Ebert. All tees have been rebuilt and expanded, every bunker reshaped and new bunkers added, bringing the course up to match the highest standards of European golf. Now the course plays to a par 71 and measures 5828 metres. In parallel with the Golf Course renovation, a new Club House is being constructed, combining modern style with Cypriot traditional architecture, with wood and glass being the most dominant materials.
Vineyards:
If you’re a wine enthusiast, you can take advantage of a unique opportunity to produce wine from your own private vineyard, or produce your own branded bottles of extra virgin olive oil for use in your villa or as gifts for friends and family, the choice is yours.
Nature trails:
Wander through the pine and cedar forests on the sun-soaked slopes of the mountains. Wonder at the wild flowers, rare orchids, bright butterflies and intoxicating scents and rest in the shade of a Byzantine monastery.
Mountain biking:
Ask the concierge to hire you a mountain bike, if you don’t have your own, and the hills are yours to discover.
Bird watching:
Minthis Hills and its surrounding region is a bird-watcher’s heaven all year round. On one of the main migratory routes from Africa to Northern Europe and Asia, the island plays host to more than 300 different bird species. The volume and diversity of migrating birds is impressive, with hundreds of pipits or larks arriving one day and flocks of flycatchers or wagtails flying in the next.
