How to grow your glassblowing hobby

Choosing a new hobby or pastime or trying to go to the next stage of it can be very difficult.

Once you've got into your hobby or interest you will want to naturally progress to new levels. This can be particularly difficult with glassblowing.

How do you do this? How do you know if what you're doing or producing is right? How do you find out how to start producing the kind of items or works of art you really want to?

One way is to enroll in expensive classes. But these glassblowing classes can often be at inconvenient times of the day for each individual. Classes can also be very hard to find as well because learning how to blow glass is one of those artforms and skills which is losing more and more craftsmen by the day without them being replaced.

For sure, you can carry on with your hobby of blowing glass by trial and error once you've mastered the basics, but by doing this you're wasting your very valuable time and materials and, quite often, you can get frustrated by not getting anywhere and eventually give up learning how to blow glass.

So how do you learn how to blow glass properly and like a true craftsman if classes aren't for you? There's an excellent resource available to us all. From the beginner who doesn't know the first thing about learning how to blow glass, through to the hobby types, who've picked up the basics but want to really get their teeth into learning how to blow glass and onto the person who's been blowing glass for a while and wants to move onto the really intricate and difficult works of art.

This resource is, as I mentioned, available to every level of glassblower and is written by glassblowing masters, who better to have on hand who you can keep referring to over and over again?

If you enroll in an expensive class then you are trapped by the class times and by not having that personal, one to one, tutorship, something you require when you learn how to blow glass. But, if you've got a top quality resource, written by glassblowing experts always on hand to refer to time and time again, then the next step of glassblowing won't be very far away from you.

In no time, you'll be moving from producing small beads to wonderful, large colourful vases and bowls.
