Benidorm Costa Blanca’s Party Capital

The town of Benidorm in the north of Costa Blanca in Spain is a tourist magnet and attracts a few million vacationers annually. This is no easy feat, when one takes into consideration the height of competition afforded by the neighbouring Spanish holiday spots... So obviously Benidorm must be doing something right?
Right!
Benidorm is the fifth most populous towns in Spain and its unique skyline has earned it a few pet names such as "Manhattan of Spain" and "Beniyork". After a monotonous stretch of countryside landscape, the tall Benidorm hotels and apartments come as a shock to newly arrived tourists. But after a while, visitors will see that it is merely a facade. Behind this facade lies countless traditions passed down through the years, cohabitating simultaneously with a very tourist-orientated outlook!
Benidorm is famous for a plethora of things, the most famous (and infamous) aspect of all, is its vibrant night life. The night life here offers a unique and eclectic choice of bounty, with a little something for everyone. Most of the nightlife is concentrated around the apartments and hotels in Benidorm, allowing guest’s easy access to the localities famed night life.
Benidorm's night life reputation far precedes it and its fame is what draws a large crowd of holiday goers to its doorstep. The excitement starts with the setting of the sun and continues on till sunrise the next day! The density of clubs, pubs and discos are well spread- in terms of hotels and apartments in Benidorm making it convenient for guests. Several hotels in Benidorm also have their own clubs, bars or entertainment venue on-site.
One of Benidorm’s largest clubs is the KM Disco Garden which can accommodate up to 5,000 clubbers and has a total of 12 bars. It is also well known for its lighting tricks and laser shows. Another famous street amongst clubbers is the Avenida Almeria, which is home to the Gigolo's disco pub and the Top of the Pops Club. The budget conscious traveller may want to head over to the Rockerfella's Fun Club on the Calle Gerona which has minimally priced drinks and no entrance fee. On the other extreme of the spectrum, you will find the Benidorm Casino which features 38 slot machines and 23 gaming tables making for an adventurous and glamorous night out.
Drink prices vary from location to location and depends mainly on the type of bar you head to. Tourists should also be warned that it is best not to drink and drive, as the amount of alcohol permitted is 0.5g per litre of blood, which is pretty much the same as a small beer.
If the partying scene is not what you are looking for, don't write Bendorm off just yet. Other alternatives include fine dining, enjoying a solitary drink at a bar of our choice, ballroom dancing and various other entertainment options.
Adults may prefer to head for a show and some famous locations include the Benidorm Palace, where you can enjoy a delicious meal which is followed by a show. Other locations include the Rich Bitch Showbar, the Cafe de Benidorm and the Beach Hardrock Cafe which is mainly known for its live music.
Families on the other hand may enjoy a more demure night and prefer to catch a magic act or hypnotist which can be found in the Bar Le Rue. To get the latest shows around, you can find out the latest happenings from the Benidorm tourist office or at the hotel tour desk. Family-friendly spots include the White Horse Family Pub, Vincent’s Cellar and the Loch Ness Fun Pub.
Many of the hotels and apartments in Benidorm are home to a variety of in house entertainment shows and the likes as well. While self catering Benidorm apartments are also available, guests will find that there are many available star class Hotels in Benidorm. From no-frills hotels to five star hotels, Benidorm has it all.
