The decision of where to take your vacation is often a difficult one. After all you have an entire planets worth of destinations to choose from. That decision usually comes down to exactly what kind of vacation you are looking for.

Many worldwide destinations offer different experiences for the traveller, be it relaxing on a beach, sightseeing or thrill seeking, but few places offer such a wide variety of activities as the Sunshine State of Florida.

With it's 1200 miles of coastline and tropical climate Florida is home to some of the finest beaches in the world and the sheer range of beach culture is astounding. From the busy hustle and bustle of Miami, Daytona and Coco beach to the calm, tranquil white sands of the Florida Keys the state can cater for any type of beach vacation you desire, whether you want to enjoy some exiting water sports, go fishing, relax on a boat deck or just watch one of the famous Florida sunsets.

Moving inland you'll find some fascinating wildlife and unique nature spots if you visit the Everglades and, in contrast to that, Florida is also host to some exiting cities such as Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Daytona all full of top quality night life, entertainment, shopping and dining. Because of the fact that Florida's economy depends mostly on tourism you can't go far without coming across a tourist attraction and there is something for everyone.

Of course the most famous of Florida's attractions are it's theme parks and even they provide an enormous range of activities. With the four Walt Disney World theme parks (Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Epcot Center and Animal Kingdom), Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and more you can enjoy thrill rides, roller coasters, family rides or take in a few of the great shows and parades that the parks host daily. As well as theme parks the state has an abundance of water parks including Disney's own Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Marine life is also an attraction and you can watch some dazzling killer whale, dolphin and sea lion shows at Sea world in Orlando.

If none of that is your thing you can head over to Kennedy Space Center for a look into the history of Florida's space program, take a tour of the complex and ,if your lucky, even see a shuttle launch.

This article doesn't even come close to describing the real diversity a vacation to Florida can offer, it couldn't hope to, but it's intention is give you a basic idea of the huge plethora of versatility all crammed into a small corner of the United States of America.

So, in conclusion, if you're not so sure about what you want to do on your vacation this year I suggest heading to Florida. Maybe you can just decide the type of vacation you want when you get there.
