A new whirl pool bath is a visual enhancement to any bathroom. Put it on a small platform; wrap it in bead board, and get a hip Roman faucet and immediately you got an outright luxury washroom. It might look fantastic on paper but you’re probably thinking it is a major install project. However, with a little planning and some online research, the install is much easier than you might think. You will need the right combination of framing knowledge, install techniques (basic), and some careful trim work to create an enjoyable and functional bathroom feature.
There are many ways to install a whirl pool tub. You can start by building an alcove, you can tuck it in a corner, or in a good number of installs you may need to raise it off the floor. (Of course this is for the plumbing that makes up the network of pipes underneath the tub). It does not matter how you install it, but to start it needs a good frame and in the end it will need some nice trim work. Having a frame is the beginning of a solid foundation and good building point. And having nice trim work at the end will seal up the project and make it look finished.
So the whirlpool or spa is one option to create a “buzz” in your bathroom, the other more practical option is the vanity. Everyone wants a whirlpool tub, but everyone needs a bathroom vanity. You can do without one but not the other. It is an obvious choice to install a bathroom sink or as we call it a vanity, but your options on how fancy you want to make it --is almost limitless.
Retail stores provide a variety or choices, but to really find the best values and the most options, you must shop online. Online shopping is actually easy and fun. These days it is the best option to find the right bathroom vanity. Doing an internet search for a vanity will provide too many choices, a helpful hint is to be more specific. Key words are always the right way to surf faster and more efficient. Words such as RTA, bathroom vanity and high end vanity are great buzz words to use when searching the web. RTA is the universal acronym for “ready to assemble”. RTA products have become popular because of better quality and much better pricing, but on the other hand, if you’re going top of the line; then you will want a pre-assembled product.
Hopefully this will get you started with two options for your bathroom centerpiece. Remember to shop online, use keywords, and hopefully that new bathroom is only weeks away.
