weight loss. In fact, one of the magazines published in the
month of June 2008 stressed the importance of fasting and
how it can help one lose weight pretty fast. However,
reality is not always so rosy. You will find that while
people lose a few pounds by fasting, as soon as they start
their normal diet, almost always they gain back all the
'lost' weight. If things happen like that then your enduring
with the pangs of hunger has totally gone waste!
The main reason why people always gain back their weight
once they stop fasting is because of their lifestyle or old
eating habits. People have the tendency to think that once
weight is lost, they need not worry about maintaining a
healthy lifestyle. Old unhealthy food like hamburgers,
chips, sodas etc creeps back into their main diet and thus
leading them back down the old road again. Sooner or later
all their old weight which they had lost will come back and
all their gains made during fasting will be for nothing. In
order for your efforts to be worthwhile, you have to change
what you consume in your daily diet. Eating more raw fruits
and green leafy vegetables is a good way to allow your body
to detoxify. Furthermore their high fiber contents, make you
feel "full" and thus you tend to be less hungry.
Weight gain is an indicator that our body is filled with
toxins. These toxins are acquired through several ways: from
the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we drink.
The effects of these toxins are harmful to us in the way
that they will make us eat more than what our body require.
Furthermore, our body metabolism rate will slow down and
this will result in less calories burnt leading to weight
gained.
1.Making good choices for your snacks: If you are aware of
what goes into your mouth, then snacking need not be bad for
your health. It will not be entirely good to eat cookies and
drink sodas. But it is healthy to snack on celery sticks and
carrots or even on almond butter. It is also a good idea
when you are finished with snacking that you do some light
exercise like a short walk or just chores in the house. This
will be more than sufficient to burn the calories that you
just consumed.
2.Drink sufficient amount of water: With 83% of our body
makeup comprising of water, It is not surprising that
drinking sufficient quantities of water daily is important.
Adults need to drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily
to replace what they lost. Also it is important to note that
water plays a very important part in removing toxins and
waste products from out body everyday. If we recall back,
that toxins make us overweight, water will slowly remove all
these from our body. When our body has rid itself of all
these toxins, sooner or later we will start losing weight.

I've been doing a bit of research after my dramatic weight loss experience and found that there's actually a PROGRAM designed to do what I attempted, except its basically more healthier and effective.
You can find that specific program at Weight Loss Insider. I recommend you take a look at this Fitness Model Program and see what they have to say about what you should do to lose 40lbs in 3 months healthily!
