Sick of Side Effects? Treat Eczema with Natural Skin Care Treatments

Eczema is a very common skin condition that causes itching rashes on different areas of the skin. There are many treatments for eczema, however, these alternatives might be too harsh for most people as they tend to thin the skin. This in hand can cause more serious problems and side effects that you surely want to avoid. But don't lose hope! There are several natural alternative treatments available. The benefit of trying these products isn't just that they are effective, they are also free from side effects.

The first natural -or should I say herbal- treatment is wild pansy. You can make some tea with this herb. You need to add 1 cup of boiling water onto a teaspoon of the dry leaves and blossoms of the herb. Allow the leaves soak for a bit before you start sipping. To see some improvements you need to drink this herbal tea for about 5 to 7 weeks, twice a day.

Wild Pansy can also be used as compression therapy on the affected areas. Add 1/2 a cup of boiling water on 1 or 2 tablespoons of the herb, leaves and blossoms. Let it soak for about 15 minutes to make a compress.

The second eczema remedy is white oak bark. This incredible herbal treatment should also be used as a compress by adding 1-2 tablespoons of small pieces of the bark along with half liter of boiling water. Let is soak and allow the mixture to cool off before using it. The next step is to use a piece of fabric and add it to the white oak bark water, press it and wrap it around the eczema affected area. Even though this treatment is very effective, its downside might be that you'll need to do this at least 3 times a day and leave it for about 1 to 2 hours each time.

The third herbal remedy is Mallow. This is also a herb you can use to compress. Add 2-3 tablespoons of the herb and boil it with 1 liter of water for about 1 minute. Let it soak for 20 minutes and let it cool off. Here, you need to follow the same instructions as the white oak bark, take some linen, soak, press and wrap. The mallow remedy has also to be used for about 3 times a day for 1-2 hours.

And since most of us work, have kids and a husband it might seem quite time consuming and unfit for many. However, there are other treatments available that you can use to treat eczema. Also with natural ingredients, a skin cream that contains the secretion of the common land snail can be all you need to protect and moisturize your eczema skin. This ingredient is great to treat eczema because it contains water holding molecules to help your skin retain moisture, to prevent dryness, flaky skin and most importantly, painful cracks. A natural skin care balm with snail serum can be used twice a day every day to keep the condition at bay and you'll see improvements in only a couple of weeks.
